Perhaps they were trying to find a missing sock.
The Montgomery Fire Department responded to rescue a person trapped inside of a washing machine this afternoon. The bizarre incident occurred on Pleasant Avenue just after 4:00pm. The street is located in a residential neighborhood off Route 211.
Orange County 911 received the initial phone call for help, which reported that the person was not entangled in the machine. They were simply stuck and could not get out.
Montgomery firefighters arrived on the scene and extricated the victim. There were no reported injuries, but an ambulance was called to evaluate the patient.
There is no word how the person got stuck inside of the washing machine.
