Santa Claus is coming to town!
It is a Christmas tradition that local fire departments participate in every year. Since firefighters are well known to have a special in with Santa, jolly old Saint Nick will temporarily ground his reindeer to enjoy rides on fire trucks around town.
This year, Santa and his firefighter helpers will have special missions. Unconfirmed rumors indicate the direction came from Santa’s boss – Mrs. Claus. While the primary mission is always to spread holiday joy to local children, Santa the firefighters will collect toys and food for underprivileged families during some of the fire districts’ tours around town. As always, Santa will be handing out candy canes in most of the fire districts.
Residents will know Santa is coming when they hear sirens from the approaching convoy of fire trucks along with Christmas music playing from loud speakers.
