Hallmark Movie Filmed in Newburgh to Air this Sunday

A Christmas movie that was filmed mostly in the City of Newburgh and other parts of Orange County is set to air on the Hallmark Channel this Sunday. The movie will co-star Eve Plumb, who famously played Jan Brady in The Brady Bunch.

“A Holiday Spectacular” was filmed at Choice Films & Choice Theatricals on Scobie Drive, off Pierces Road, in the City of Newburgh last winter. The multi-award winning production company operates the Umbra Sound Stages, where most of the movie was filmed.

The movie will outline a character named Maggie who puts her high-society wedding plans on hold and sneaks away to New York City to perform with the Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall.

“A Holiday Spectacular” will co-star Ginna Claire Mason, Derek Klena, Plumb, and Ann-Margret Olsson. Rockettes’ choreographer and director Julie Brabam created the choreography for the Rockettes’ performances in “A Holiday Spectacular.” The Rockettes will be featured throughout the film in various numbers.

Those wishing to tune in can watch the movie at 8:00pm on Sunday, November 27, 2022. For Spectrum customers in the Newburgh area, Hallmark can be found on channel 84.
