Free Thanksgiving Meals to be Given to City of Newburgh Community

Free Thanksgiving meals will be given away in the City of Newburgh so residents can take the food home and prepare it on Turkey Day.

The Newburgh Armory Unity Center, the City of Newburgh Recreation Department, the Kaplan Family Foundation, and We Are Newburgh will all team up to host their annual Thanksgiving Giveway on Monday, November 21, 2022, from 3:00pm to 7:00pm. The food will be handed out at the Newburgh Armory’s Larkin Center entrance, located at 321 South William Street in the City of Newburgh.

The food is intended to be taken home so that families can cook it whenever they are ready. Frozen turkeys and hams will be distributed to the community. In addition, We Are Newburgh and the City of Newburgh Recreation Department will provide the trimmings.

The distribution is frozen Turkeys and hams. We are Newburgh, and the Newburgh Recreation Center is providing the trimmings; this will all be taken home so the families can cook when they are ready.

The food will be distributed on a first come, first served basis.

This is one of several charitable events being held to make sure everyone in the City of Newburgh will be able to enjoy their Thanksgiving holiday.

Also on Monday evening – November 21, 2022, a free community meal will be served at the Dominican Center Room in the City of Newburgh (story here).

On Thanksgiving Day, local businesses will team up to provide a free community meal in the City of Newburgh for those in need (story here).
