Marsha J. Blevins, of Campbell Hall, NY, entered into eternal rest on October 27, 2022 at Montefiore Saint Luke’s Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh NY, 12550 with her family by her side. She was 78 years old.
The daughter of the late Johnnie and Shirley Garrett, Marsha was born on July 10, 1944 in Brooklyn NY.
Marsha was a retired United States Postal Worker with over 35 years of service to the Anosonia Postal Station in Manhattan NY. In her retirement to keep herself busy she took on employment as a Sales Associate at Sears, Newburgh NY and most recently as a Walmart Associate at Newburgh NY.
Marsha will be remembered for her spark for life, warm and caring nature, her constant smile, quick sense of humor and the ability to make all who encountered her feel welcomed and part of her family.
Marsha is survived by her sons: Ronald L. Blevins of Pittsburgh, PA and Robert E. Blevins of Newburgh, NY and her two sisters: Joanne Burgess of Queens, NY and Sheryl Garrett of Pittsburgh, PA. 3 grandchildren, Sabria Blevins, Satasha Blevins and Kyla Blevins and 3 Great-grandchildren, Johan, Sariah and Anthony Jr. and numerous families that made her an honorary member such as the Barnum’s, Figueroa’s, Pulliza’s, Johnson’s and Rivas’s.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm- 4:00 pm, Saturday, November 5, 2022 with words of Life at 3:00 pm given by Reverend Doctor Dollyann N. Briggs at Brooks Funeral Home 481 Gidney Ave, Newburgh NY 12550. A repast will be held at Baptist Temple Church 7 Williams Street, Newburgh NY. 12550 following visitation.
