A 23 year-old man from Chester died in a head-on car accident in Tuxedo on Monday morning.
The New York State Police are investigating the accident, which occurred at approximately 7:33am on Old Route 17 in the Town of Tuxedo near the Sloatsburg border.
According to police, Ahkem Chu III was traveling southbound on Old Route 17 in a 2007 Honda Accord when, for unknown reasons, he crossed into the northbound lane and struck a truck that was hauling trees.
Chu was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital, where he died of his injuries. The two occupants of the truck were not seriously injured.
State Police are investigating with the assistance of the Town of Tuxedo Police Department and the Town of Ramapo Police Department.
