Eachus Takes Oath in New Windsor

New York State Assemblyman Christopher Eachus was sworn in yesterday during a ceremony held in New Windsor.

Eachus was sworn in by New Windsor Town Justice George J. Meyers during an inauguration held at the New Windsor Town Hall. Eachus, a Democrat, will represent the State’s 99th District.

In a neck-and-neck election, Eachus narrowly defeated Republican opponent Kathryn Luciani by eight votes. Eachus received 18,539 votes to Luciani’s 18,531 votes.

The inauguration was open to the public. A celebration followed at the New Windsor Community Center, where lunch was served to those who attended.
