The Gidney Avenue Memorial School in the Newburgh Enlarged City School District ushered in the holiday season with a holiday bazaar on Friday night. Teachers, students and families were all part of the celebration.
Students and their families made holiday crafts and decorations, enjoyed popcorn and baked goods donated by GAMS faculty, shopped at local vendor tables brimming with homemade items, and patiently waited in a long line to take photos with Santa.
As families left for the evening, they were able to select clothing, housewares and toys and games from the giving table to make their holidays a bit brighter.
The cafeteria space was decked out in decorations and holiday music was playing as over 500 people shared in the spirit.
