The New Windsor Planning Board discussed potential upcoming projects throughout the town during their monthly meeting on Wednesday night.
The Town Zoning Board referred an item to the Planning Board for “True Storage”, a proposed new self-storage facility to be built at 865 Blooming Grove Turnpike. The current site consists of a dirt lot adjacent to a small wooded area. It is located directly in front of the busy three-way intersection of Route 94 and Old Temple Hill Road, near Foam & Wash and the Vail’s Gate Post Office.
John Furst, Esq. is proposing the creation of “Blooming Grove Academy” at 537 Blooming Grove Turnpike. The project proposes converting an existing medical office into a school for autistic children. It is located on a small pulloff containing a few houses between Willow Lane and the Upskate Plaza, backing up to the Butterhill Estates neighborhood.
Patrick Torpey, owner of 20th Century Towing, is seeking to amend his site plan for 200 Union Avenue. He is proposing construction of a new 2,908 square foot building. The towing and body shop is located near Union Avenue and MacArthur Avenue.
Mauri Architects, PC is proposing to expand Guardian Self Storage, located at 149 Windsor Highway. The project would include two additional climate controlled self-storage buildings.
