Good-Will Firefighters Save House

A house fire that reportedly began in an attached garage was quickly knocked down by the Good-Will Fire Department last night.

The Good-Will Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire at 16 South Dix Avenue in the Town of Newburgh at 7:57pm. Orange County 911 received reports that occupants were inside the residence.

The incident commander arrived, reported there was an active fire, and summonsed a ladder truck from the Winona Lake Engine Company to the scene.

Within a half hour of the original call, firefighters knocked down the fire and began overhaul. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
