A fatal motor vehicle accident was reported in the Dutchess County Town of Lagrange on Tuesday afternoon. An Arlington School District mini-bus collided head-on with a New York State Trooper car on Route 55 near North Cross Road.
An adult aide who was working on the bus was killed. The State Trooper, the bus driver, and two students on the bus were all transported to local hospitals. None of their injuries were said to be life-threatening.
The road was closed well into the night while investigators worked to reconstruct the accident scene. The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
