Kathleen P. Welenc, of the Town of Newburgh, entered into rest on Saturday, April 15, 2023. She was 78.
Daughter of the late Joseph P. and Adele (Lynch) Sullivan, she was born on July 31, 1944 in New York, NY.
A longtime area resident, Kathleen was a retired receptionist with the TEG Federal Credit Union in Fishkill, NY. In earlier years she worked for Lederle Laboratories in Pearl River, NY.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Charles Welenc, Jr.; two daughters, Kristen (Jonathan) Marcantonio of Wallkill, NY, and Karen (Dan) Kenney of Quincy, MA; a brother, Kevin (Helen) Sullivan of Walden, NY; one sister, Eileen Remo of W. Hartford, CT; six grandchildren, Samantha, Robert, Sara, Ryan, Caroline and Kathleen; and many nieces and nephews.
All services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
