Therapy Dogs Give MSMC Students a Chance to “Paws” and Relax

For Mount Saint Mary College students taking their midterms this week, a group of therapy dogs provided a stress-busting break yesterday.

Research has indicated that watching, petting, or talking to an animal can lower blood pressure and heart rate.

The animals came to the Mount via Hudson Valley Paws for a Cause. The popular event has become a tradition at the college.

The event was co-sponsored by the Mount’s Kaplan Family Library and Learning Center, the Counseling Center, and the Student Government Association. The event took place at the Kaplan Family Library and Learning Center.
