The Friends of Cornwall Public Library is planning a Mediterranean cruise from later this year Athens, Greece to Venice, Italy.
The ten day Empires of the Mediterranean cruise will run from October 17 through October 27, 2023. The cruise will sail the Adriatic and Aegean Seas, which are on the southern borders of Europe and spill into the Mediterranean Sea.
Shannon Tiger, a Viking Cruise representative, will share details and answer questions for anyone interested in an online Zoom meeting on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, from 6:30pm to 7:30pm. Those wishing to participate in the free informational session may register for a free ticket for the meeting on the Cornwall Public Library’s website here.
According to Viking Cruise’s website, the Empires of the Mediterranean cruise will be aboard the ship Viking Saturn. Prices are not for the faint of heart. Tickets start at $4,599 per person for a lower end room, but includes free meals, soft drinks, free beer and wine, and one complimentary shore excursion. Over the course of ten days, the price averages out to $460 per person. Friends of Cornwall Public Library has not yet announced if a group discount will be given.
The first five days of the cruise will include visits to various locations in Greece, starting with Athens. The ship will stop at cities in Croatia on days six through eight. Day nine will include a stop in Slovenia. The ship will disembark in Venice, Italy.
