The New Windsor Elementary School, part of the Newburgh Enlarged City School District, hosted the Harlem MagicMasters last week. See the video below.
Three members of the New York City based team, along with their DJ, traveled to New Windsor to put on a show for the students and teachers. They dazzled the school with fancy dribbling, passing, and dunks.
The students were invited to participate in games and trivia, and some even won prizes. The MagicMasters selected a student from the crowd to emulate some of their basketball moves. The moves started fairly simple, but ended with an impossible dunk.
The students participated in Black History Month Sports Trivia in conjunction with the celebration.
The Harlem MagicMasters invited all of the teachers in attendance to Center Court and instructed the students to applaud their teachers for their commitment each day. Next, they had the teachers form a conga line as their DJ spun the Soca song “Follow the Leader”.
The event was filled with basketball, dancing, and plenty of smiles.
