Another local young man has made the community a better place while earning his Eagle Scout rank.
Thomas N. Giorgianni, a local Boy Scout from Troop 007, recently completed his Eagle Scout
project by constructing a new playhouse at Chadwick Lake Park in the Town of Newburgh.
Giorgianni collected wood pallets, broke them down, and constructed the house. He was assisted by his father, brother, and fellow scouts. The group constructed the playhouse at
his residence and then moved it to the park. The entire project took over 430 hours to complete.
The playhouse now resides at the Town of Newburgh Natural Park, located at Chadwick Lake
Park. It allows children to play and experience the outdoors at the Natural Park.
Last month, Town of Newburgh Commissioner of Parks, Recreation, and Conservation
James Presutti, accepted the project on behalf of the Town of Newburgh.
Giorgianni thanked everyone who contributed to his project and supported him on his
journey in achieving scouting’s highest rank of Eagle Scout.
Town of Newburgh Supervisor Gil Piaquadio thanked Giorgianni, Troop 007 scouts, and all those who assisted in bringing this project into fruition. “This playhouse is a great addition to the Town of Newburgh’s Chadwick Lake Park,” Piaquadio stated.
