A former cheerleader is making Cornwall proud of her success at Centenary University in New Jersey.

Noelle Bednarek was one of just five New York State residents to be named to the Dean’s List during the fall semester at Centenary University. The announcement came today by Centenary University President Bruce Murphy, Ed.D.. The University’s main campus is located in Hackettstown, N.J., with its equestrian facility in Washington Township.

To achieve this honor, full-time students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.8 or above and complete a minimum of 12 semester credits.

Bednarek, a New Windsor resident who attended the Cornwall Central School District, was a member of Cornwall’s Varsity Cheerleading Squad until graduating from high school.

Bednarek is currently a freshman at Centenary University and is majoring in Equine Studies. She is now an athlete with the Centenary Cyclones’ Equestrian Team.
