The Newburgh Town Board was on the other end of an award presentation recently.
The Town of Newburgh Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 973 presented the Newburgh Town Board with an award in recognition of their “meritorious and distinguished service” during a meeting earlier this month.
According to the VFW Post 973, the Town Board “furthers the mission of our nation’s VFW.”
Newburgh Town Supervisor Gil Piaquadio graciously accepted the VFW’s award on behalf of the Town Board. Family members and friends of the VFW were also present during the presentation.
“Thank you VFW for your sacrifice and service to our nation,” said Piaquadio.
