Cornwall Re-Opens Continental Road Following Culvert Replacement

Those traveling through the Town of Cornwall may now begin using Continental Road again. A box culvert has been installed and the road re-opened this afternoon.

Cornwall Town Supervisor Joshua Wojehowski stated it took town officials nearly one year of making bi-weekly phone calls to FEMA to get the project completed. The Town Engineer, Highway Superintendent, Town Board, and project contractors all worked together to get the project completed.

“Without all parties working together, this project would have taken much longer to complete,” Wojehowski observed.

A&R Concrete built the box culvert and Argenio Brothers installed it.

Wojehowski noted that the Town had been working hard to get the project completed before winter set in to avoid putting residents, emergency services, and Town employees at greater risk during inclement weather.
