Members of the Newburgh Free Academy Debate Team outdid themselves once again during the prestigious Regis Christmas Classic held in New York City on Saturday.
The Goldbacks competed against some of the best debaters in the tri-state region. The event was an opportunity for NFA students to expand their debate skills.
The team of NFA senior Langley Phillips and junior Anakin Landolfa, as well as another team of senior Aarav Shah and junior Anthony Argueta both ranked high in the competition.
Other members of the NFA Debate Team who participated were sophomores Quinn Fairbanks and Jenell Rosales, as well as freshmen Roman D’Alfonso, Tina Wang, Madelyn Bell, Adam Quezada, Arelie Rojas Saldana, and Jennifer Rosas.
