Fostertown Kindergartners Hold Holiday Song Swap

The Fostertown Elementary School in the Newburgh Enlarged City School District held a kindergarten song swap on Wednesday.

School Principal Ivelisse Mojica greeted family members, teachers, and students to the December Celebrations Kindergarten Song Swap, which is a longtime tradition at Fostertown.

Each kindergarten class sang while performing choreographed dance moves in holiday themed outfits. One of the performances featured special effects as snow began to fall while the children sang. After each performance, teacher Amy Kosturik, a Creative Academic Specialist, invited the audience members up to take pictures of their children.

Pupils in Karen Cibirka, Wendy Bohlinger, and Gianna DeFabio’s classes performed Blitzen Boogie. Teacher Erin Blanco’s students sang Rockin Around the Christmas Tree. Bilingual students in Julie Jenei and Wendy Muniz’s class performed Jingle Bells. Rosana Horton’s students sang Let it Snow.

The final performances featured the entire kindergarten class performing I Have a Little Dreidel and We Wish You a Merry Christmas.
