Timothy C. Toombs, of Newburgh, entered into rest on Monday, December 5, 2022. He was 64.
Son of the late, John G. Toombs and the late Helen Toombs, he was born on September 4, 1958, in Newburgh, NY.
Timmy had a love for boating and all types of fishing. He had an extreme passion for drag racing. He was the Crew Chief for the Turner Racing XFWD CRX “RED RUM” from 2016 to present where he traveled all around the country competing in top level import drag racing. And no matter what, his life wouldn’t have been complete without the one he adored the most, his granddaughter, Ava Jesse.
Survivors include his beloved life partner Robbin, at home, his son Nicholas Bruno (Brittany) of Wallkill, a brother Denis (Lori) Toombs, of Newburgh, and granddaughter Ava Jesse, nephew, Johnny (Jenny) Toombs, nieces Marie Wilson and Misty Toombs and many great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Johnny Toombs and nephew Adam Toombs.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, on Sunday, December 11, 2022 at White, Venuto and Morrill Funeral and Cremation Service, 188 N. Plank Road, Newburgh, NY 12550.
A Funeral Service will take place 11:00 am, Monday, December 12, 2022 at the Funeral Home, followed by burial at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
