Broadway Play Coming to Cornwall High School

A hilarious Broadway play is coming to the Cornwall Central High School this weekend.

The high school’s Drama Club will present The Play that Goes Wrong: HS Edition daily from Thursday, November 3, 2022 through Sunday, November 6. Each of the performances will begin at 7:00pm in the Cornwall High School Auditorium, except for Sunday when a 2:00pm matinee will be held.

From Mischief, a Broadway master of comedy, comes the smash hit farce. The play introduces The Cornwall University Drama Society, who are attempting to put on a 1920s’ murder mystery, but as the title suggests, everything that can go wrong does go wrong. The accident-prone thespians battle on against all odds to get to their final curtain call.

The musical is open to the public. The cost of general admission is $12. Students and senior citizens will only pay $10. Tickets can be purchased at the door.

The role of Annie will be played by Maddie D’Arco on Thursday and Saturday, while Maggie Diaz will play the role on Friday and Sunday. The role of Chris will be acted out by David Kramer on Thursday and Saturday, and by Moses Usen on Friday and Sunday. The role of Denise will be played by Josie Kilgore on Thursday and Saturday, while Carson McLendon will act it out on Friday and Sunday. Trevor will be played by Patrick Devlin on Thursday and Saturday, and by Ryan Horaz on Friday and Sunday.

The role of Jonathan will be fulfilled by Nick Tessin; Max by Emerson Barth; Robert by Desmond Gillick; and Sandra by Vivian Stephenson

The on-stage crew will consist of Steph Alvarez, Mikaelah Ayestas, Valora Bersig, Jacob Carter, Evan Clift, and Nico Sanchez.

The Stage Manager for the production is Louis Comitz. The Assistant Stage Managers will be Abby Crow and Michael Duffy. Shawn Hansen will be the Production Assistant.
