Newburgh Free Academy history students recently visited New York City to watch a musical and tour historic areas of the Big Apple.
Sixty-seven students boarded buses destined for the City to enjoy a day of history and music. The students started off the morning by visiting the World Trade Center Memorial. The students next went to the Trinity Church Cemetery to visit the graves of Eliza and Alexander Hamilton.
Following their historic tour, the students enjoyed orchestra seats at the Richard Rodgers Theater to watch the Hamilton musical.
The trip was courtesy of a grant through the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History.
