Town of Newburgh to Hold Narcan Training for Residents

The Town of Newburgh EMS will host Narcan training for residents next month.

The announcement came today during the annual Overdose Awareness Day. Last year, approximately 100,000 deaths were reported across the country due to opioid overdoses. One way to help is to take a Narcan Administration and Overdose Recognition class.

The Town of Newburgh EMS will host their next class on Sunday, October 16, 2022 at 10:00 am. The course will be held at their ambulance bay at 97 South Plank Road. Narcan kits will be distributed to participants at the conclusion of the training.

Anyone who wishes to attend the training should contact Assistant Chief Chatfield at (845) 561-0950 x104, or email him at Echatfield@tonems.org. The cost to attend is $10 per person. Seats are limited.
