Balmville 4th Graders Create Animal Adaptations Project

At Balmville School,

Mrs Sarita & Mrs Desouza’s fourth grade class at the Newburgh Enlarged City School District’s Balmville School recently conducted a research based project on Animal Adaptations.

The animals researched by students are all endangered species. Each student wrote an informational essay on their assigned animal and gave a presentation to their peers. Their peers then rated the presentations and asked clarifying questions using a rubric focused on four scoring components; clear speaking voice, eye contact, knowledge on the subject, and body language.
