Edward J. Burton, of the Town of Newburgh, formerly of Ohio, entered into rest unexpectedly on Sunday, May 7, 2023. He was 68.
Son of the late Herbert R. and Evelyn (Hanf) Burton, he was born November 4, 1954 in Cleveland OH.
Edward was a factory worker and lab technician for Energizer Battery, Westlake, OH. An avid sports fan, he belonged to several baseball, softball and bowling leagues in his younger years. He spent much of his free time working on his house and enjoyed traveling with his wife.
Survivors include his wife, Marilyn D. Firestone-Burton; two stepsons, Michael Demarco of the Town of Newburgh and Frank DeMarco of Albany, NY; one stepdaughter, Angela Dilmore of MS; one brother, Terry Burton of Jeromesville, OH; three grandchildren, Cidney Nielson, Danielle DeMarco and Julia Dilmore; and one great grandchild, Sawyer.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a sister, Donna Reynolds.
Private cremation has taken place at Cedar Hill Crematory, Newburgh, NY.
