Mount Ends Academic Year with Impractical Joker, Petting Zoo

Students at Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh recently celebrated the end of their academic year in style. College officials organized a collection of fun events to help students de-stress before taking their final exams.

The college kicked off the activities on Monday, April 24, 2023, with a performance by comedian Joe Gatto, famously known for his role on the hit television show Impractical Jokers. He parted ways with the show at the end of 2021 due to personal issues after co-starring for a decade.

Later in the week, the Mount community enjoyed a pop-up petting zoo, which included ferrets, bunnies, chickens, kangaroos, goats, snakes, bearded dragons, and turtles.

Students also participated in a pool party, which was indoors and glow in the dark themed. The party is one of the signature Spring Week events at the college.

Students also enjoyed a Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream night.
