A stand-up comedy star with over two decades of experience will perform a solo show in Newburgh this May. See a video highlight below.
Tom Briscoe will perform his new solo show “Old Mansplaining” at Pamela’s on the Hudson, located at 1 Park Place in Newburgh, on Friday, May 12, 2023. Showtime is 9:00pm. The show will appear for one night only and will be video recorded in front of a live audience.
“Old Mansplaining” does not mock the newer generations. Instead, it highlights the wisdom and lifestyle of the older generations. The humor is aimed toward those who still carry cash, know how to read road maps, use cursive writing instead of emojis, used encyclopedias, and much more.
Briscoe is a resident of Orange County, NY. He will be taking his “Old Mansplaining” solo show on the road and is scheduled to appear in Myrtle Beach, Texas, Florida, and Arizona later this year.
The local comedian is quite seasoned in his line of work. His 2022 Dry Bar Comedy Special reached a Top 10 ranking. This show alone amassed over 1.5 million full episode views in one year’s time.
Briscoe regularly performs on all the best comedy stages in Las Vegas, New York City, Atlantic City, and other comedy clubs nationwide. His sitcom script “The Citiots” recently won an invite to the prestigious Montreal JFL Comedy Festival’s “Stand Up & Pitch.” Additionally, cuts from two of his albums are in regular rotations on all the satellite comedy platforms.
He is also a top headliner on all the major cruise lines worldwide, including Norwegian, Celebrity, Princess, Cunard and Oceania, and more. He has visited over 100 countries aboard the ships’ travels while entertaining the guests on board.
Briscoe’s show at Pamela’s on the Hudson is being presented by Larry DiGregorio, who will be performing his own unrelated show in the Town of Newburgh one week later (story here).
Tickets to attend Briscoe’s “Old Mansplaining” show at Pamela’s on the Hudson are $20 per person. Food and beverages will be available with a two item minimum. Tickets can be purchased on Eventbrite here or by calling (845) 562-4505.
