Town of Newburgh to Pickup Brush, Leaves from Homes

The Town of Newburgh will pick up leaves and brush from residents who are doing some spring cleaning of their properties, the Town Board and Town Clerk announced yesterday.

Leaves and brush must be placed along the curbs of residents townwide on Monday, May 8, 2023, no later than 7:00am.

For those leaving brush along the curb, it must be less than 4″ in diameter and no longer than four feet in length. It must be tied in bundles.

Leaves may also be placed along the curb, but they must be in clear bags only. Bags of grass clippings, pine cones, or pine needles will not be picked up.

Once the town trucks pick up the brush and leaves from an area, the trucks will not be returning. For those who may miss the deadline, a leaf and brush recycling bin is available to the public every Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 3:00pm at the Town of Newburgh Highway Department (90 Gardnertown Road).
