New Windsor School Students Present Musical

Students from New Windsor School’s Drama Club recently presented three performances of the musical “Sing Me a Story” in front of their friends and families.

The show was a musical journey through the world of classic books, which entertained the students while also inspiring literacy.

The students gathered before school at 8:00am every Thursday morning for ten weeks to rehearse the musical. They experienced the many elements of theater production, performance, set design, and construction.

The show’s music was directed by Karen Sheehy and Mary Petruncola. The set design was led by Jaime De Forest. The Newburgh Enlarged City School District stated each of the teachers are “incredibly proud” of the dedication shown by the students.

New Windsor School plans to bring the production back next year.
