Nicholas “Nick” James DeCarlo of the Town of Newburgh entered into rest on Sunday, April 16, 2023 at the age of 85.
Nicholas hailed from the Bronx, where he grew up with his parents, Pasquale and Lillian of both Italian and Polish decent, and his siblings Johnny and Theresa.
Nick met his future wife Mary, and married on August 16, 1958. They would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary in August.
Nick became a self-employed salesman and distributor for Joyce Beverages/Seven-Up Bottling Co. in New Rochelle and Newburgh for 35 years.
Nick is survived by his wife of 64 years Mary (Napoli) DeCarlo; his children Lillian (Wayne), Nick (Tracy), Frank (Angela), Diane (David); his grandchildren Charles Nicholas (Lindsay), Lori Ann (Chris), Gina Ann, Nicholas, Michael (Sydney), Zachary, Frankie, Anthony, Vincent, Kayleigh Fay, DJ; his great grandchildren Emily, Owen, Charlotte, Miley; his sister Theresa, brother-in-law, Conrad, and their daughters Teresa and Godchild Bernadette; sister-in-law, Anna. Nick is also survived by a large loving extended family and cherished close friends. He was predeceased by his brother, John.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Nick’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
Calling hours will be held at Brooks Funeral Home on Saturday, April 22 from 2 – 4 PM.
