Cornell Cooperative Extension Orange County Master Gardeners will team up with the Newburgh Armory Unity Center to offer 30-minute gardening lessons once a month.
The instructors will cover a variety of topics including soil health, seeding and transplanting, garden management, pest management, harvesting, and cooking.
Those interested in attending can participate in one class, multiple classes, or even all of them. The classes will be held on Tuesdays; April 25, May 9, June 13, July 11, August 8, and September 12, 2023, from 5:00pm to 5:30pm. They will take place outside at the Newburgh Armory’s Community Garden located at 321 South William Street in the City of Newburgh.
Each session is $5 per family, or a bulk rate of $25 for all six sessions. A discount is available to members of the Newburgh Armory Garden.
Scholarships are also available upon request.
