Anna Iris Deida Vega, 82, of Newburgh, NY, passed away unexpectedly on April 17, 2023, due to infection complications, surrounded by her family.
Anna was born on October 21, 1940, to Dominga and Francisco Hernandez in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. In her childhood, she emigrated to New York to join her parents in search of the American dream.
Early in life, Anna met her first spouse, Pedro Victor Vicente. Together they brought into the world five children, Iris, Pedro “Pete”, Danny, Ivette, & Denise. Later in life, she met her life partner, Luis Deida Vega. Her youngest daughter Arlene, was a product of their union. Anna and Luis remained married over 49 years by the time of her parting.
Anna will be greatly missed not only by her husband and children, but also by her 16 grand-children , 19 great-grandchildren, son in-laws, daughter in-laws, nieces, nephews and surviving siblings Jose “Joey” and Carmen. She was predeceased by her son Danny and brother Francisco “Frankie”.
