Newburgh Volunteer Fair to be Held at Washington’s Headquarters

The Washington’s Headquarters State Historic Site in the City of Newburgh will host the Newburgh Volunteer Fair next month.

The event will provide local not-for-profit groups with the opportunity to staff a table, where they can raise awareness within the community of the important work that they do, network with other community organizations, and recruit would-be volunteers.

The public is invited to attend the fair, visit the tables, and make connections with local groups. As an added bonus, free admission will be offered to the Museum and to the Washington’s Headquarters’ Hasbrouck House tour. This is being offered by the Friends of the State Historic Sites of the Hudson Highlands. Visitors will get to experience the important role the City of Newburgh played during the War of Independence.

The fair will be held at Washington’s Headquarters, located on Liberty Street, on Saturday, May 6, 2023, from 11:00am to 2:00pm. It is being organized by Washington’s Headquarters in partnership with Safe Harbors of the Hudson and the Newburgh Free Library.

Any not-for-profit organizations wishing to attend and participate can apply by April 17, 2023 (click here). Washington’s Headquarters can be contacted at (845) 562-1195 for more information.

“We hope organizations will take advantage of this opportunity to promote their work, recruit new volunteers, and network with other community organizations trying to make a difference in Newburgh,” Washington’s Headquarters representatives stated. “Let’s show everyone how much we support our community, and how many opportunities there are to help make Newburgh strong!”
