Leaders from the Town of Cornwall and the Village of Cornwall-on-Hudson are joining forces to offer two, long-term summer camps for the area youth.
Under the direction of the Cornwall Recreation Department, both municipalities will provide a Summer Playground Camp for six weeks and a separate Kinderkamp 2023, also for six weeks.
The Summer Playground Camp is open to children entering the first through eighth grades. It will run from July 10 through August 18, 2023, from 9:00am to 2:00pm daily. It will be held at the Cornwall Elementary School at Lee Road.
The playground camp will feature swimming, sports, arts and crafts, music, games, appearances from special guests, and many additional organized activities.
The Kinderkamp 2023 is open to children ages 4 and 5 who are not yet in kindergarten. It will run from July 10 through August 18, 2023, from 9:00am to 2:00pm daily. It will be held at the Cornwall Town Hall Park.
The Kinderkamp will feature swimming in the wading pool, arts and crafts, story times, games, and many additional organized activities. Campers must be fully potty-trained. Pull-up diapers are not allowed.
The fee to attend either of the camps is $300 per child for town or village residents, and $400 for non-residents. Registration can be completed in-person at the Cornwall Recreation Department at Munger Cottage, located next to the Cornwall Little League fields, between 9:00am and 4:00pm on Monday through Friday. An updated copy of the child’s immunization records must be provided along with two proofs of residency.
