The age-old, feel-good tale of firefighters rescuing a cat stuck in a tree came to life on a warm springtime day yesterday afternoon. See the full video below.
The Salisbury Mills Fire Department responded to a non-emergency call yesterday afternoon to rescue a cat stuck in a tree. The feline got spooked by something, climbed up the tree, and could not get down. The exact address of the debacle is being withheld.
Volunteer firefighters stopped what they were doing, left their jobs, and assembled to help rescue the cat. Firefighters raised an extension ladder up the tree. A fireman wore heavy duty gloves and carried the cat down to safety.
The cat is now safe on the ground and is said to be happy.
