Robert J. Youlio

December 5, 1941 – April 5, 2023 (age 81)

Montgomery, NY – Formerly of Newburgh, NY

Robert “Bob” J. Youlio gained his angel wings while surrounded by his loved ones on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 after courageously fighting a battle with cancer.

Born on December 5, 1941 to Lawrence and Alice (Quinn) Youlio in Newburgh, New York, he was the youngest of nine children. Bob was born and raised in Newburgh until finally settling in Montgomery, New York in 1998. As a young boy, he faithfully served his parish, Saint Patrick’s Church in Newburgh, as an altar boy and was also a member of the Boy Scouts. He graduated from Newburgh Free Academy and attended Orange County Community College before enlisting in the United States Army. He proudly served 2 tours in Vietnam as a Sergeant E5, field commissioner and was honored with a Vietnam Service Medal. Upon returning from war, Bob worked for IBM, East Fishkill, as an analyst. In 1986, he met Cheryl, who turned out to be the love of his life. After 30 wonderful years of courtship, they tied the knot in May 2016.

Bob is survived and will be greatly missed by his adoring wife Cheryl; His two sons, Kerry and
Darin (Sheila) Youlio; His two daughters, Michelle “Fa” (Werner) Dominguez and Tara
(Christopher) Batson; His 5 grandchildren, Alexis and Tyler Youlio, Emily “Emerson” Taggart
and Sydney and Karly Batson; one great grandson, Adam; His sister, Patricia Mullarkey; His brother, John (Lorraine) Youlio; and several nieces and nephews.

Bob was predeceased by both parents; Brothers Lawrence (Mary) and William Youlio; Sisters
Doris (Seymour) Weiner, Eleanor (Matthew) Grimaldi, Loretta Youlio, Elizabeth (Raymond Pine), (Roger) Maher; and brother in law John Mullarkey.

The family would like to thank Hospice of Orange and Sullivan County, the West Team, for the
care and support they gave Bob and our family during this difficult time. They also wished to thank thank Bob’s nephew, Michael Weiner, for his kindness, time and support as well.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Hospice of Orange and Sullivan County, 800 Stony Brook Court, Newburgh, New York 12550.

Arrangements are being made by Brooks Funeral Home. Services will be private.
