A portion of the Palisades Parkway in Rockland County has been closed much of today following a horrific, multi-car accident with multiple patients.
The accident occurred in the southbound lanes of the Palisades Parkway between exits 11 and 12 near Spring Valley earlier today. The New York State Police, Hillcrest Fire Department, and Spring Hill Community Ambulance Corp. all responded to the accident. Multiple patients from multiple vehicles were rushed to area hospitals.
As of this evening, the Palisades Parkway remains closed in the southbound direction due to the accident scene.
No further information is yet available from police as the scene is still ongoing.
