Joseph J. Grimm, Jr., of New Windsor, died peacefully in Beacon March 21, 2023, after a long illness.
He was the son of the late Joseph & Patricia Grimm.
Joe graduated from Highland Falls High School and proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1959 to 1963 as a member of the 38th Tactical Missile Wing stationed at Sembach Air Base, Germany.
Joe was retired from the Social Security Administration as an operations supervisor, and he enjoyed a long retirement as an avid golfer. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Newburgh NY.
Survivors include his loving wife, Patricia (Irwin), son Patrick Grimm, daughter Diane Kirby, granddaughters Johnna Dion & her spouse Chris, Erin Duncan & her spouse Kevin, Taylor Crawford & her spouse William, 4 great grandchildren, several cousins, nieces and nephews & great-nieces & nephews. He was also previously deceased by infant grandchild John Kirby.
The family would like to thank the North 2 & South 2 staff at the Fishkill Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing in Beacon NY. Although Joe was only there for three months, they gave him tender loving care during his stay.
In keeping with Joe’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 145 Benkard Ave, Newburgh NY.
