Duck Hee Nam, of Rock Tavern, entered into rest on Sunday, March 12, 2023. He was 97.
Son of the late Jung Bo Nam, he was born on January 3, 1926 in Bu Yeo Gun, South Korea.
He was a Judo 3rd Degree, enjoyed playing the trumpet and worked in the family business in South Korea before emigrating to the United States in 1988. After coming to the United States he worked at his son’s greenhouse business in Newburgh.
Survivors include; three sons, Sang Um Nam, Sang Yeol Nam, and Sang Jin Nam; three daughters, Ki Yeon Nam, Sang Hee Nam and Sang Mi Nam; ; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Duck Hee was predeceased by his wife, Yung Ha Nam in 2020 and son, Ho Nam in 2009.
Private cremation has taken place at Cedar Hill Crematory.
Inurnment will take place on Monday, March 20, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. at Cedar Hill Cemetery, 5468 Route 9W, Newburgh, NY 12550.
