Future Nurses Learn Lifesaving Techniques

Mount Saint Mary College Nursing students learned lifesaving techniques for use during emergencies at a Stop the Bleed training held on Wednesday at their campus in the City of Newburgh.

The event was hosted by the Mount’s Student Nursing Association (SNA) and was led by Riley Norwood of East Haven, Conn., SNA vice president.

Stop the Bleed encourages bystanders to become trained, equipped, and empowered to help in a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives. This national awareness campaign was founded in response to the 2012 shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School.
