Diana M. Campos, of the Town of Newburgh, NY, entered into rest on Thursday, January 26, 2023.
Daughter of the late George and Gertrude (Adler) Simonin, she was born November 22, 1953 in Boston, Massachusetts.
Diana was a retired Grant Writer for several Hudson Valley non-profit organizations, always civic minded she was a member of the Town of Newburgh Democratic Committee and was both a board member and board president for “Newburgh Girl Power”.
Survivors include her husband at home Oscar “Rene” Campos; two daughters, Ilyana (Carmelo) Campos of Newburgh and Ada Campos of Phoenix, AZ; two brothers, Mario Simonin of Woburn, MA and George Simonin of Concord, CA; three sisters, Delmy Edwards of Salem, OR, Lillian Simonin of Walnut Creek, CA and Dina Simonin of Concord, CA; three grandchildren, C.J. Santana, Rafael Santana and Victoria Ramirez; one special nephew Tito (Jovita) Ramirez and many nieces and nephews. Also surviving is her beloved four-legged friend Chica.
Diana was predeceased by two brothers, Carlos Simonin and Louis Simonin; and her step mother Amanda Simonin.
Private Cremation has taken place at Cedar Hill Crematory.
Plans for a celebration of Diana’s life will be announced at a later date.
