New Windsor Announces Cheap Deals to Attend Knicks, Yankees, Mets Games

For residents looking to take a break and get out of town for the day, the New Windsor Recreation Department has announced several upcoming trips to watch professional ballgames in New York City.

The first in a series of three trips is on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, when residents will head down to Madison Square Garden to watch the New York Knicks take on the Charolotte Hornets. The bus will leave the New Windsor Town Hall at 4:30pm. Tip-off will be at 7:30pm. The seats are floor level in Section 103.

The price to attend is just $120 per person. Each ticket includes the bus ride, an admission ticket, and a $25 food and drink voucher. Space is limited, so anyone wishing to attend is encouraged to sign up as soon as possible.

In comparison, a single admission ticket in Section 103 for someone purchasing a ticket directly through Ticketmaster would cost $150. This would not include transportation or the $25 food and drink voucher. The New Windsor Recreation Department is offering the entire package for $30 cheaper than the price of a single ticket.

The second trip is on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, to watch the New York Yankees take on the Baltimore Orioles under the lights at Yankee Stadium. The bus will leave New Windsor Town Hall at 4:00pm. Game time is 7:05pm. The seats are located at field level in Section 129, near the third base line.

The price to attend is just $100 person, which includes the bus ride and a ticket to the game. In comparison, an individual purchasing a ticket on their own would pay $145 for the same seat.

The third trip is on Wednesday, May 31, 2023. Residents will head down to Citi Field to watch the New York Mets take on the Philadelphia Phillies in a night game. The bus will leave the New Windsor Town Hall at 4:00pm for a 7:10pm game. The seats are located at field level in Section 124, located directly behind third base. The price of the trip is just $100 per person, which includes the bus ride and a ticket to the game.

Last year, New Windsor residents were surprised to meet Don Mattingly while enjoying a Mets game versus the Florida Marlins at Citi Field. Mattingly, a New York Yankees legend, was the Marlins’ manager at the time. He took time to meet with New Windsor residents and posed for photos with local children.

All three of the trips are being hosted by the New Windsor Recreation Department. Anyone wishing to sign up to attend any of the three tips can visit the New Windsor Recreation Department’s website at www.nwrecisfun.com or call the Recreation Department office at (845) 565-7750.
