Local Catholic Charity Receives Major Donation from College Staff, Students

The Catholic Charities of Orange, Sullivan, and Ulster Counties was thrilled after they saw the amount of toys being donated to be given out for Christmas.

Mount Saint Mary College students, staff and alumni donated more than 800 toys to the Catholic Charities following campus collections and online deliveries. Their efforts have been ongoing over the last month, keeping delivery drivers extra busy.

“The Mount Saint Mary College community continues to bless us with their generosity,” Catholic Charities wrote in a statement.

Last week, MSMC’s Father Greg and an abundance of students packed up all the donations and brought them to Catholic Charities’ Newburgh office. The toys were distributed to the charity’s clients and community members in need.

“We are grateful to our friends at MSMC for making Christmas merrier for hundreds of local children again this year,” Catholic Charities exclaimed.
