Agatha Paonessa of New Windsor, NY entered into rest November 22, 2022 at the Taconic
Beacon Nursing Home, she was 98.
Daughter of the late Joseph and Amelia Jarosinski Sledzianowski, she was born on February 5, 1924. She married Joseph S. Paonessa on June 2, 1946 at St. Francis of Assisi Church,
Newburgh.
Agatha worked for Stanwcyk Winding Co. and Marianni Bag Corp. for many years, retiring to
Largo, Florida.
She is survived by her daughter Evelyn and her husband Leonard J. Cavicchio with whom she
resided with for the last 12 years in New Windsor; her son-in-law Larry S. Richards of Chandler, AZ. Granddaughters Michele (Tim) McKean of Chandler, AZ, Catherine (Kent) Lobien of Auburndale, FL; Marie (Chris) Stelljes of Walden, NY; Great-Granddaughters Krista (Zach) Hailey of Phoenix, AZ; Amelia and Audrey Lobien of Auburndale, FL; Great-Grandson Logan Stelljes of Walden, NY; sister Albina Bugiada of New Windsor; nieces and nephews.
She is pre-deceased by her husband Joseph, daughter, Beverly S. Richards, Brothers Emil
Sledzianowski, Felix Tomashevski, and sisters Amelia Llewellyn, Jennie Kusman, Genevieve
Martiak, and Anna Marciniack.
Visitation will be held from 4 – 7 pm, Thursday, December 1 st at Brooks Funeral Home, 481
Gidney Ave, Newburgh, NY.
A Mass of the Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 am Friday, December 2nd at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Newburgh, NY. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, New Windsor, NY.
