The Newburgh Free Academy Debate Team captured a round of victories at the Groves Falcon Invitational held virtually in Michigan last week.
Returning members of the NFA Debate Team who competed were Anthony Argueta, Ciara Alvarez, Quinn Fairbanks and Jenell Rosales.
Newcomer students Roman D’Alfonso, Tina Wang, Madelyn Bell, Adam Quezada, Arelie Rojas Saldana and Jennifer Rosas were also part of the team’s win. “Congrats to these freshmen debaters on their first career debate competition and victories,” said Debate Team Coach Matt Brown.
Each team member competed against students from various schools from across the Midwest.
