A Letter to Our Students Heading Back to School

Submitted by NYS Assemblyman Colin J. Schmitt

As August winds down, I wanted to wish the Students of the 99th Assembly District good luck in their new school year! Opportunity awaits through those doors as fresh interests are piqued and new skills developed. A new chapter begins that is filled with adventure, challenge, and reward. What will you make of this moment? Take advantage of the new adventures and learning opportunities that await.

Fall in the Hudson Valley is around the corner and is second to none. With the change of the seasons comes the opportunity for a new school year where lessons are to be learned and ideas are to be shared. New friendships await and memories to be had.

These past two years will shape this future generation. Take those experiences and use them to pioneer your future. As former Governor of New York and President of the United States, Teddy Roosevelt, once said, “It is hard to fail, but it is worse never to have tried to succeed.” Your community is rooting for you! Have a great year!

Your Assemblyman,
Colin J. Schmitt
District 99
