Mark E. Shan, of Newburgh, NY, entered into rest on Thursday, August 11, 2022. He was 64.
Son of the late Frank and Mary (Stepankevich) Dyshanowitz, Mark was born on January 23, 1958 in Brooklyn, NY.
Mark was a paralegal with Finkelstein and Partners, Newburgh, NY. He was a member of the Palpung Thubten Choling Monastery in Wappingers Falls and a master martial artist with Ying Jow Pai Kung Fu School in New York City. Mark loved his fish aquariums, enjoyed gardening, and was a grill master.
Survivors include his beloved children: son, Jared Shan, of Syracuse, NY, and daughter, Cloë Shan, of Schenectady, NY; former wife, Karen Maserjian Shan, of Poughkeepsie, NY; sister, Christine Dyshanowitz of Newburgh, NY, and extended family.
Mark was loved by his family and friends for his warmth, humor, and kind soul, and will be very missed.
Private cremation has taken place at Cedar Hill Crematory.
A Celebration of Mark’s Life will take place on Sunday, August 21, 2022 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at White, Venuto and Morrill Funeral and Cremation Service, 188 N. Plank Road, Newburgh NY 12550.
