Katherine Marie Garcia resided in New Windsor, NY. The family tragically lost her on July 31, 2022 in Lagrangeville New York. She was born on October 7, 1998 in the Dominican Republic. She was the daughter of Adelina Olmeda Garcia and Carlos Garcia. She was the sibling of Melissa Marie Garcia, her twin sister.
Katherine graduated from Mercy College in 2017 with a Bachelor’s Degree. She worked for Rehabilitation Support Services in Newburgh as a care manager. Her main passion was to travel and see the world. She was a gentle, loving and caring soul who left a mark in everyone’s hearts.
Katherine is survived by her mother Adelina Olmeda; her father Carlos Garcia; her siblings, twin sister Melissa Marie Garcia (better known as her other half); and siblings Lineska Pineyro, Carlos Garcia Jr., and Karla Garcia; nieces Kiralee Pineyro and Amanda Matos; grandmother Eduarda de Campos; aunts and uncles, Maria and Uncle Papo, Titi Yenny, Uncle Pete, Uncle Ivan; cousins: Frankie Natal, Matthew Natal, Jeanneska Rodriguez, Juan Oscar Rodriguez, Yashira Rodriguez; close friends: Carolina Rivera Garcia, Danielle Booker and Kamilah Butler, Rhonda Butler, Magda Ruiz; and pets Ruby, Rose and Robin.
Katherine is predeceased by Grandfather Francisco Olmeda, Grandma Maria Dolores Contes, Uncle Henry Olmeda.

The family will be eternally grateful to their family friend NYPD detective Ramon Velez and his wife Lourdes Velez. Ramon Velez didn’t give up until he found Katherine Katherine.
Visitation will be held at Brooks Funeral Home on Thursday, August 4 from 10:30-12:30 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial is to be held at St. Patrick’s Church in Newburgh on Thursday, August 4 at 1 PM, with entombment to follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Newburgh.
